2008 10 22 - Photography Exhibition - Venice. Fragments of Memories
Venice. Fragments of Memories
a fringe event of the Singapore International Photography Festival
A view of the city of Venice and its past comes back to life through the photographs of 38 artists from Venetian “Circolo Fotografico La Gondola”, which is one of the most famous Italian photography clubs. The exhibition showcases one hundred black & white photographs shot between 1947 and 1980 by renowned post-war Italian artists such as Paolo Monti, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Sergio Del Pero and many more. Through these photographs, visitors can experience a distinct atmosphere of the city of Venice that the course of time as well as tourism has inexorably erased. The exhibition is a fringe event of the Singapore International Photography Festival 2008 and is part of the “8th Week of the Italian Language and Culture in the World
