Known as the “King of White Candies”, Alois Kracher’s botrytis wines are astounding. The quantity produced is highly vintage-dependent as they rely on the development of botrytis (noble rot). Wines labeled “Z.D. Seen“ are slowly fermented in large wood casks and kept on the lees for a long time. Alois rates his wines from No. 1 upwards according to concentration with a higher number representing greater concentration.
