2010 04 04 - Bandung ( Food sampling )


Sweet potatoes from Bandung with yellow flesh but not as sweet as those from Semarang.


Martabak Manis ( pancakes) and Asin ( with meat fillings ). The sweet pancakes are spread with Wijsman Butter ( from Holland ) which gives an added aromatic fragrance.

 

Wijsman butter in available in local supermarkets in Bandung.

This mutton looks red and spicy but it is not. Quite savory but I prefer the satay more.

The mutton satay ( meat and liver ) and freshly cut into smaller pieces before being placed onto a stick. They are eaten with kecap manis (sweet black sauce) and peanut gravy.
