Born in Milan in 1969, Andrea Dieci studied with Paolo Cherici at the "G.Verdi" Conservatory of Milan and graduated "cum laude" with special distinction. He later studied with Oscar Ghiglia at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, where he received the Diploma of Merit distinction, and at the Musikakademie in Basle, Switzerland, where he earned his "Solistendiplom". He has also attended masterclasses with Julian Bream.

He has won First Prize in the International Competition of Gargnano, the International Competition of Lagonegro (dedicated to 20th century guitar music) and the "De Bonis" International Competition of Cosenza.

Andrea Dieci has been proclaimed "an impressive guitarist" by the Times Herald. He has performed extensively as a soloist, in chamber-music ensembles and with orchestras for prestigious music societies all over Europe, in the USA, Central and South America, Africa and Asia, including the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds, Settimana Musicale of Siena, Teatro Angelicum in Milan, Real Academia de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Theatre Municipal in Tunis, Ataturk Centre and Cemal Resit Rey in Istanbul, Memphis State University, California State University and American Guitar Society (Los Angeles). Moreover, he has appeared in music festivals in France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia,Bulgaria, Greece and Brazil. In 2003 he made his début in Japan at the prestigious Dai-Ichi Seimei Hall of Tokyo. In the same year he was invited to play at the International Guitar Fest organized by the Guitar Foundation of America in Mérida (Mexico).

Andrea Dieci's 6 CDs, released under MAP Golden, Bèrben and Nuova Era labels, have been highly praised by music magazines all over the world. His double CD dedicated to the complete works for solo guitar by Toru Takemitsu (MAP Golden) was awarded the "Golden Guitar" at the X International Guitar Congress of Alessandria (Italy) as the best CD of the year and has been presented on RAI Radio 3.

Dieci's performances have been broadcast by major radio and TV companies including Italian Radio-Television (RAI), Radio Nacional Española, the BBC and Euroradio. In 2001 he did a live broadcast of Heitor Villa-Lobos' Douze Etudes on the Swiss-Italian Radio (RTSI).

Andrea Dieci currently teaches at the "G. Regondi" Guitar Academy in Milan (Italy). He has presented masterclasses and seminars at important music institutions in many European Countries and in Mexico, Brazil, USA and Japan.
