Colavita Whole Wheat Pasta is the new addition to Colavita’s superior line of imported Italian pasta. Available in five of our most popular cuts, this pasta is made from 100% whole durum wheat semolina and fresh mountain spring water with no artificial ingredients. Colavita pasta is recognized throughout the world as the great tasting, gloriously authentic Italian pasta and the flavor and texture of Colavita Whole Wheat Pasta does not disappoint.

Colavita Pasta - Family Tradition The Colavita Pasta Company, or Industria Alimentare Colavita (IND.AL.CO. S.p.A.), was founded by the Colavita family in 1912 in the small hilltop town of Sant'Elia a Pianisi, about twenty miles to the east of Campobasso in the Molise region of Italy.

Surrounded by wheat fields, the people of Molise have always held an unwavering respect for farming traditions. In this same spirit, the Colavita family drew upon the resources of their homeland to produce their superb pasta for the local market and soon became a favorite of the Molise region. Generations later, this artisanal product became available worldwide.

In 1979, The Colavita Pasta Company relocated to a large facility in Ripalimosani, not far from Sant'Elia in the Campobasso area. The facility today is one of the most modernized in all of Italy with state-of-the-art machinery and laboratories. It produces pasta with a capacity of over three thousand tons per month (in excess of six shipping containers per day) and offers a variety of over seventy-five different cuts or shapes, including its renowned nests. Using only the finest durum wheat semolina, Colavita Pasta would become the pasta of choice for consumers and restaurant chefs alike.

Technology today may be more advanced, but Colavita Pasta continues to honor its commitment to ensuring fine quality---the same as in 1912.
